Propose a venue for WPUK Unconference ???? UK 2016

You are invited to propose the venue for WPUK Unconference ???? UK 2016 (working title), the follow-up to WordCamp Birmingham UK 2015.

The event is planned to take place either on the weekend of 27-28 August 2016, 3-4 September 2016 or 10-11 September 2016.

This gathering of WordPress publishers, designers and developers will enable those applying to gain experience of organising a WordCamp with the support and financial input from an experienced group of organisers of previous similar gatherings.

It’s planned to apply for WordCamp status for the event when the full planning team has been put in place.

The deadline for completed submissions is midday on Saturday 16 April 2016.

Individuals or groups are invited to propose a venue to accommodate WPUK Unconference ???? UK 2015 number 2 (working title), the follow-up to WordCamp Birmingham UK 2015.

The event is scheduled to take place on the weekend of 25-26 July 2015, and it’s planned to apply for WordCamp status for the event when the full planning team has been put in place.

The deadline for completed submissions is midday on Saturday 25 April 2015, which will be followed by a ballot of registered WPUK Discuss users to select the winning proposal.

Early bird tickets for WordCamp Birmingham UK 2015 now available

£15 discount early bird tickets for WordCamp Birmingham UK 2015 are now available – the price increases to £25 at midday on Sunday 11 January 2015.

Microsponsor tickets are also available – these are intended for individuals and small enterprises.

The event takes place on the weekend of 7-8 February 2015 at The Studio in central Birmingham.

WordCamp Birmingham UK 2015

WPUK Unconference Birmingham UK 2015 is now known as WordCamp Birmingham UK 2015 following a succesful application for WordCamp status.

The event takes place on 7-8 February 2015 at The Studio in central Birmingham, and is the follow up to WordCamp Bournemouth UK 2014.

Details of how to submit ideas for sessions are on WPUK Discuss.

Ticket availability, sponsorship arrangements and the developed event website are expected to be unveiled shortly.

Deadline looms for UK WP unconference 2014 venue bids

Proposals for the venue to accommodate the seventh annual WordPress UK weekend unconference must be submitted by midday on Saturday 15 March 2014 Saturday 22 March 2014 at the latest.

Birmingham and Bournemouth are currently under investigation as potential venues for the follow-up to WordCamp Lancaster UK 2013.

Venue bids proposed will be put to a ballot of registered members of WPUK Discuss.

The event is scheduled to take place on the weekend of 12-13 July 2014.

Potential venues for UK WP unconference 2014

Birmingham and Bournemouth are under investigation as potential venues for seventh annual WordPress UK weekend unconference, the follow-up to WordCamp Lancaster UK 2013.

Any proposals arising from this work will be put to a ballot of registered members of WPUK Discuss.

There’s still time to propose alternative venues – the deadline for submissions is Saturday 15 22 March 2014.

A new site has been launched for debate and discussion between UK-based WordPress publishers, designers and developers: WPUK Discuss.

Registration is required before logged in users can post and comment on WPUK Discuss.

The new site supercedes the WPUK mailing list, which is now retired.

UK WP unconference 7 deadline extended

The deadline for the submission of proposals for the location of the seventh annual WordPress UK weekend unconference has been extended.

Following discussion with one of the teams preparing a proposal, the deadline has been extended by three weeks to Saturday 15 March 2014.

This will give more preparation time for all of those intending to propose the location for the event.

Following the deadline for submissions, the city and venue will then selected by a ballot of WPUK mailing list WPUK Discuss subscribers.

The WordPress weekend is scheduled to take place 12-13 July 2014, and is produced by WPUK.

7th UK WordPress unconference launched

Arrangements for the seventh annual WordPress UK weekend unconference have been announced.

Once again, the location and content for the event will be determined by the participants.

The weekend will be the follow-up to WordCamp Lancaster UK 2013.

Proposals for the city and venue for the event are now invited – the deadline is Saturday 22 February 2014 15 March 2014.

The city and venue will then be selected from the proposals by a ballot of WPUK mailing list WPUK Discuss subscribers.

Content ideas for the event can also now be posted.
